Rated 2. 0 out of 5. Adhesive was old and thick. We had a professional installer, lay our hand scraped bamboo floor. The flooring was perfect for our rustic cabin. However the adhesive was old, thick and difficult to spread. We ended up needing more adhesive than recommended because it would not spread efficiently. I had to make a 4 hr return trip to get more adhesive so the job could be finished on time.

Alot more messy than the old stuff. I last installed wood flooring about 1. The old mastic I used then was a lot easier to use than this stuff. This may have more of a cushioning effect but it foams and gets stuck in the cracks and oozes out between edges and makes gaps because it pushes them apart.
Or maybe since I am 1. I am getting too old for this stuff??

No. Cache Blush... TONY of Savanna, GA was exactly right on the money! Sadly, I red his review after I was 1/2 done and frustrated with my inability to lay the bamboo floor as I expected it should go down. Don't know the answer, but this is NOT it.

I recently installed a solid bamboo flooring using the Roberts (R1. Urethane Adhesive and if I could give a “0” for this product I would. BEWARE, do not use this stuff if you don't want damage to the floor finish, especially if your a DIYer. Unless you immediately, and thoroughly clean off finger smudges, glue drips and squeeze- outs the glue will etch the finish. I used this stuff because I wanted to save a few bucks. Bad decision. Plus the glue skinned over in less than 1.
I had previously installed a glue down floor in another larger room using the Morning Star adhesive. The Morning Star glue cleaned up easily with mineral spirits, even after a week, but it was more expensive. I have used everything I can think of from mineral spirits to WD4.
Mr Clean scrub pad. Even after scraping the glue spots with a razor knife to the finish the etching remains. Luckily the bad floor job is in a back bedroom and will be covered by an area rug. Otherwise I'd rip the stuff out and start over. Rated 3. 0 out of 5. Tony Buy the MS advance + instead. Previously, I used the Taylor MS Advance plus to install 1.
To finish the master bath with the remaining flooring, I had to purchase this product, as the stores don't carry the Taylor product on the shelves. In comparison, this product was thinner, leaving messy strings of adhesive here and there, requiring constant cleanup. Combined with the fact that it is colored brown made it difficult to detect. Another major problem is the amount of waste. The metal bucket containing the product fails to seal completely, resulting in a skin forming on the top of the product overnight.
If it was applied too thickly, it tended to ooze between the joints to the surface. The good- it sticks well, the flooring slid into place easily, and it cures/dries quickly. My advice, order the Taylor product instead. February 1. 3, 2.
