Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2. Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire, Kan. She was born in Leavenworth on Oct. Josephine was a homemaker and seamstress her whole life, working at Dorothy’s Dress Shop and Bakers Department Store in Leavenworth. Her greatest joy in life was cooking for her family and taking care of her home.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Edith (Vetterling) Anthony, her husband Arthur, and her nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth C. Jim) Flax of Wichita and Linda L. Arnold of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Bill (Sharon) Kirby, Michael (Susan) Kirby, Tim (Linda) Kirby, Cheri (Rex) Whiteside, Brent Arnold, Tracy (Ron)Samson, Susie (Steve) Babcock, and Sandy (Craig) Radzak; many great and great- great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive. Her family mourns the passing of a gentle, sweet lady who was the center of our lives.

Lila “Pat” B. Zeugin. Lila ”Pat” B. Zeugin, 7. Leavenworth, died Saturday, Dec. St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born Jan. Leavenworth, the daughter of Lloyd Jay and Florence Marie (Chapman) Rounds.
Pat graduated from Leavenworth Senior High School in 1. On Jan. 6, 1. 95. John “Jack” R. Zeugin by the priest at the old Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He survives at the home. She is also survived by her daughter, Deborah and husband Douglas Wood of Leavenworth; a granddaughter, Jennifer Vornholt also of Leavenworth. She worked for Dairy Queen, Kresge’s, Bell Laundry and Kramer Mfg. Co. She later co- owned and operated Zeugin’s Book Store in downtown Leavenworth from 1.
She then went to work at the Command and General Staff College as a Draftsman and then with the Engineer’s help desk before her retirement. Pat enjoyed quilting, cross- stitching, knitting, fishing and gardening. She loved nature being outdoors and animals. And above all, KU men’s basketball. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.
